The Dept of Science Lab Technology began in 1979 with about 30 students in the ND Programme.A Over 32 years of steady growth, the dept expanded in size & scope.
The Dept of Mathematics & Statistics began on 21st Jan, 2003 under the School of General Studies.A Though new, it met NBTE standards to offer the Nat’l Diploma programme.
The Dept of Computer Science (formerly Computer Centre) was set up in Sept 1986 under the School of General Studies.A Initially, it served other depts.A Now, it belongs to the School of Science & Technology.
The Dept of Nutrition & Dietetics was founded in 2012.A It began as a programme under the Dept of Food Science & Technology in 2004.A It later grew to full departmental status.
The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management started in 1979 with thirty students. Initially, the students were admitted into the Nigerian National Diploma (NND) programme.
